Dana White has denied making any private bet with Jake Paul or Snoop Dogg over the former's fight with Ben Askren.

Prior to the fight, the UFC president was so confident in Askren winning, he claimed he'd be willing to bet $1m on it.

In the aftermath of the first round knockout, Hip Hop icon Snoop Dogg suggested he was due to a significant windfall, by telling White to pay up, while Paul used Twitter to ponder to spend White’s money on.

However, speaking to , White says he never made a bet with anybody.

“Let me make it clear right here to everybody. I have never made an illegal bet, ever,” White affirmed.

“I did not make an illegal bet on Saturday night. I did not bet $2m with Snoop or anybody.”

White also said the YouTuber would be dealt with by a real fighter eventually in a put down of Askren's abilities.

However, he appears to respect the marketing power Paul and his cohorts command.

“This is the right guy with the right shtick at the right time. This guy is playing this thing perfectly.

"And boxing is in such a bad place, they’re doing a really good job at sucking in people to buy into this thing. And good for him.”

Paul has claimed the pay-per-view on Saturday night has drawn 1.5 million buys and generated $75m with his personal purse for the two minutes revealed to be $690k.

He sits at 3-0 in professional boxing, but is yet to face a true boxer. Each one of his opponents have been first-time boxers from different backgrounds.

But that could change if he steps in the ring with Tommy Fury next, as has been suggested.
