Conor McGregor sent a not-so-subtle indirect tweet about Jake Paul on Sunday, reacting to his antics at UFC 261.

Jake turned up at Kamaru Usman’s KO win over Jorge Masvidal in Jacksonville, Florida and was given a warm greeting by the crowd.

The thousands in attendance chanted, ‘F*** Jake Paul,’ much to the 24-year-old’s delight.

He then clashed in person with former two-weight UFC champion Daniel Cormier, who he previously exchanged words with online following his latest win over Ben Askren last week.

In the months prior to this, Jake had campaigned for a fight with McGregor, who seemingly is not a fan.

He sent a series of tweets on Sunday morning about UFC 261, and the one that garnered the most interaction simply read: "UFC high level fighting > Blogger jackass boxing."

Paul first called out the MMA sensation in his post-fight interview after he beat Nate Robinson in November.

He then put together a controversial callout video in which he insulted McGregor’s fiancée Dee Devlin.

When this garnered no response, he hired a plane to fly a banner over Miami Beach which simply read: “Conor McGregor is scared of Jake Paul.”

UFC president Dana White reacted to Jake's UFC 261 appearance by saying at his post-fight press conference: "This kid's done a good job of putting himself in a place to make some money.

"Good for him, he's got you guys talking about him all the time, asking questions about him, got Daniel Cormier running after him, so he's doing something right.

Dana White is seemingly not keen on Jake either

"He knocked out an NBA guy who was 40 years old and 30lbs less than him and I don't even know what do think about the Askren thing.

"The whole thing is f***ing mind boggling to me, but good for him, grab that money while you can kid."

Following his KO of Askren, Jake claimed the fight did 1.5million PPV buys on Triller and so generated $75million.

The UFC president is sceptical to say the least.

When asked if he'd ever do business with Jake by a reporter who said 'the numbers are there', Dana replied: "The numbers are there?

"Nah, I don't know if the numbers are there.

"Do you even know what would happen to this guy? He ain't fighting in the UFC.

"You're getting me talking about this f***ing guy again!

"You're getting hand-picked opponents and God knows what else is going on with that whole f***ing thing.

"There is a market for that. That's not what I do.

"People wanna see that, this kid's gonna make a couple bucks before this ride's over, and it's just not what I do.

Paul knocked out Ben Askren last weekend

"And the numbers that you're hearing that they did are full of s***, they're full of s***.

"They didn't pull those kind of numbers at all, not even f***ing close."

He continued: "I don't believe anything they say, that's a f***ing circus.

"None of that's real. You think any of that s*** that's going on over there is real? Come on man.

"I built a real business here, a real sport. That's a freak show."
