Tyson Fury is open to fighting Mike Tyson after his fight with Deontay Wilder, if he cannot agree terms on a bout with Dillian Whyte.

The ‘Gypsy King’ ends his 20-month absence from the ring next month when he takes on Wilder in their trilogy fight for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.

Fury was fighting regularly before the pandemic, even appearing in WWE before his rematch with Wilder in February in 2020.

Yet the outbreak of COVID-19 and contractual obligations imposed by the American and his team have delayed his return to the ring.

As a result, the 32-year-old is keen to get his fighting career back on track again and laid out a hit list of his next five fights, which included Whyte, two fights with Anthony Joshua and a third fight with Derek Chisora.

However, given the growing popularity of YouTube boxers and exhbition fights, including Evander Holyfield’s bout this weekend, Fury has cheekily suggested he would fight former world heavyweight world champion, and namesake, Mike Tyson if Whyte is not available.

“I like all these fights happening,” Fury told iFL TV. “You’ve got Holyfield fighting Vitor Belfort this weekend.

“I’m looking forward to that! Holyfield is 60 years old, the other guy is 45; why should we kill these people’s dreams because they are getting fit, having a go and giving their self a goal?

“I love watching Mike come back and fight you know, I would love to fight Mike Tyson in an exhibiton.

“If the Dillian Whyte doesn’t happen, then I would love to Mike in an exhibition. Tyson vs Tyson, past vs present and there is just so much fun to have out there in this game.”
