Mike Tyson gives thoughts on Anthony Joshua’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk and asks if Deontay Wilder really believes he can beat Tyson Fury

Mike Tyson has insisted that a prime version of himself would have beaten both Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk last weekend.

The former undisputed heavyweight world champion picked up all the major belts in his dominant early years from 1986-1989.

Although he never returned to his terrifying best after suffering his first defeat in 1990, the young Tyson is still remembered as one of the greatest heavyweights in history.

Reflecting on the recent title fight which saw Usyk dethrone Joshua, Tyson told : "It was the speed more than anything that f***ed up Joshua."

He then added some words of hope for the Brit: "He started late, he's still learning. He can still learn, he's a baby."

When asked how he'd have fared against them in his prime, Tyson replied: "I'm not talking about any of their fights before this fight - but that night I‘d have beat them."

The conversation then moved on to the upcoming trilogy fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, which will be live on talkSPORT on Saturday night.

"I like Wilder, but is he going in there to win or is he going in there for a big payday?" asked Tyson.

"Is he really going in there to win?"

Regarding what tactics the American should use, Tyson added: "They should go all out for five or six rounds. If you catch him, you catch him. Go all out, win or lose."
