‘Freak athletes’ Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are ‘levels above’ the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte

Dave Allen described Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury as ‘levels and levels above’ the likes of Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte.
‘The White Rhino’ even went as far as to suggest the current heavyweight champions are even better than former kingpin Wladimir Klitschko.
Brave and strong, Allen has shared the ring with some of the very best fighters of this enthralling generation of heavyweights – either competitively or in sparring.
The 29-year-old was part of Fury’s camp in 2018 when he made his comeback to the ring after a lengthy absence and was called up by Usyk in preparation for his heavyweight tussle with Dereck Chisora.
Allen said Fury ‘enjoys inflicting pain’ and punches far harder than people give him credit for, while he was infamously sent to sleep on his feet by Usyk in Ukraine.
In light of former foe Whyte’s cancelled scrap against Otto Wallin, Allen delivered his verdict on the current crop of heavyweights and insists none come close to the current occupants of the heavyweight belts.
“Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, for me having sparred them both, as well as fighting Dillian, Luis Ortiz and sparring Anthony Joshua, Wladimir Klitschko – Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Uysk right, they are not normal people.
“These are outer-world people. I’ve been in with world class talent right, and I know when I’m in there with world-class talent.
“When I was in there with Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, it’s another level. They are levels and levels above everyone else.
“They are just freak athletes with unbelievable boxing ability. They are huge men that could move like welterweights, it’s unheard of.
“For Dillian Whyte, I think Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are just on another level to everybody.
“Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, Dillian Whyte, even Andy Ruiz – they are a decent sized step below the other two.”
