UFC legend Alistair Overeem calls out Jake and Logan Paul for ‘orchestrating’ their fights

UFC legend Alistair Overeem isn’t a fan of the way the Jake and Logan Paul brothers have shaken up the fight game.
Overeem, a man born in England but grew up in Holland, has held heavyweight world titles in kickboxing and MMA and challenged for UFC gold, and he says the Paul brothers are orchestrating their careers.
"He [Logan Paul] doesn't want any," Overeem told .
"He's doing good, he's going to do good business but of course, he is picking and choosing his guys right? Small, wrestler guys that don't really [have boxing backgrounds]."
Speaking of good business, Paul’s fight with Floyd Mayweather is believed to have garnered roughly one million pay-per-view buys.
When asked about Logan fighting Mayweather, Overeem replied: "He's small, he's like a 155 or something."
"So that's all orchestrated and it's good for them, right? Good for them but they would never, if it becomes threatening or dangerous, they'd never do it. They would never come into MMA.
"They are doing something that they feel is 'hey, this kind of feels like, the cards are stacked on my side' but they would never take a risk to really get hurt like we're doing.
"A real fight against a real killer and time and time again they are doing the safe, easy, playing part. It's not real fights.
"If you're fighting a guy who's 50 pounds less and Mayweather is known for winning decisions, right? That's different than fighting Francis Ngannou."
Logan Paul seems set to face Mike Tyson in February 2022 if recent reports are to be believed.
But, once again, while Tyson is a huge household name and the fight is bound to garner interest, Paul has a size advantage and is nearly 30 years younger.
Jake Paul is close to finalising a deal to fight Tommy Fury, the first professional boxer he has faced since turning pro himself.
Fury is 7-0, but the 22-year-old is in the very early stages of his career. The brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is another good profile opponent for Paul and while this represents his biggest challenge to date, Paul’s side really believe they can win.
