Gary Anderson in darts row as he brands Joe Cullen a ‘cheat’ and pair square off in heated exchange after losing Premier League clash

Things got a little bit heated in the Premier League Darts on Thursday as Gary Anderson confronted Joe Cullen and branded him 'a cheat' following the Scot's defeat in Rotterdam.
Anderson had been leading 5-3 on the night, only for Cullen - the 32-year-old from Bradford - to claw back the match and secure a 6-5 victory.
Two-time PDC World Champion, Anderson, missed three match darts in the deciding leg of their quarter-final clash.
And the Scotsman appeared irritated by Cullen's use of deliberate tactics after appearing to see the Englishman encroaching.
This led to a heated exchange between the pair after the match, although Cullen denies any wrongdoing.
He told DAZN: “For want of a better expression, he [Anderson] called me a cheat.
"Gary was saying ‘I know what I did’, I said I don’t know what I did. I did absolutely nothing wrong.
“I’ve never had an issue with Gary in the past."
Cullen added: "I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong, my conscience is clear. I don’t know what it was.
“I said ‘watch every camera back you’ve got’. I don’t know whether it was the heat of the moment.
“We all do stupid things in the heat of the moment. I’m a lot of things but I’m not a cheat.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for Gary, he’s a great ambassador for the sport but I think he let himself down a bit tonight.”
