The final of the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship will take centre-stage tonight as 16-year-old sensation Luke Littler faces Luke Humphries.

The World Darts Championship is one of the most popular events on the sporting calendar and the festive fortnight of action is reaching its climax, with Littler stealing the show so far.

England's Michael Smith hit a nine-dart finish on route to claiming his first title last year but he won't be in the final after being knocked out in the last 16, while Michael van Gerwen also crashed out earlier than expected.

Instead, it's teenage star Littler who is the favourite for glory.

'The Nuke', making his debut at Ally Pally, stormed past former world champion Rob Cross in the semi-finals to bank himself at least £200k, and play for a shot at the Sid Waddell trophy - and a cool £500k - in the grand final.

He will face Humphries, who dispatched Scott Williams in the other semi-final 6-0.

PDC World final: What has been said?

Teenage star Littler will stick with his diet of cheese and ham omelettes and pizza as he tries to complete his history-making World Championship dream.

Ahead of the final, he said: “I’ll keep doing what I have been doing.

"I don't wake up until 12, in the morning go for my ham and cheese omelette, come here and have my pizza, and then go on the practice board.

"It is what I have been doing every day - if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

"It's crazy, I haven't got the words. I have just settled on that stage. It has not even sunk in yet. I have surprised myself.

"I have just got to stay focused and be Luke Littler. I have got to be mature and be myself.

"It would be unbelievable if I won it, I only wanted to win one match.";
