Last week saw 17-year-old Luke Littler secure his fourth Night win of the season in Aberdeen, tying him with Michael van Gerwen for the most this year, beating Rob Cross in the final for the second week in succession.

This week, the teenager, who has guaranteed himself top spot heading into next week's final round of league stage action with an eight-point lead at the top of the table, takes on Peter Wright, the tournament's worst performing player, losing all but two of his matches all year.

The winner of the match will take on the winner of the opening bout, a repeat of last year's grand final in van Gerwen v Gerwyn Price, in the opening semi final of the night.

Seven-time defending champion and three-time world champion MVG currently occupies the fourth and final qualifying spot, but only sits two points clear of Michael Smith, the leader of the chasing pack.

The Dutchman sits just one point shy of third placed Nathan Aspinall, while last year's runner up and former world champion Price has had his elimination from the Premier League confirmed after falling at the quarter final stage in nine out of 14 nights, leaving him seventh.

The other half of the draw this week sees world champion Luke Humphries, the other member of the class of 2024 to have booked their place in the play-offs in London, take on the beaten finalist in each of the last two weeks, Rob Cross.

Humphries currently sits second in the table, eight points behind Littler, while being three ahead of Aspinall and four clear of van Gerwen, while Cross has recently ended his run of seven consecutive defeats with back-to-back finals but it could be a case of too little too late.

The Englishman sits sixth in the table, seven points off the top four, but did beat Humphries in last week's semi final and does have some form on his side heading into the final two weeks.

The winner of that tie will take on the winner of the final quarter final, which sees third place Nathan Aspinall take on fifth placed Michael Smith.

Both will be looking to end the league season on a high but with just one win in the last two weeks each, they will want to pick up some form ahead of the play-offs, should they both make it.

Smith is the one with ground to make up in the final two weeks of the league season, with the 2023 world champion currently fifth but only two points off the top four and three points off Aspinall, so the meeting between the two tonight is a huge one.
