Luke Littler edges closer to becoming millionaire as net worth doubles with six-figure win

Luke Littler edged closer to millionaire status by netting £275,000 with his stunning Premier League darts title win.
The 17-year-old continued his incredible rise in 2024 with an 11-7 victory over Luke Humphries at the O2 Arena.
Littler was brought to tears by the accomplishment which saw him win six of the last eight legs to beat world champion Humphries in Thursday’s thrilling final.
The teenager rushed to celebrate with his family before reserving a few words for the sceptics who had questioned his impact in the sport.
"To all the doubters, hello, I've just picked up this! You're not doubting me any more," Littler told Sky Sports after winning the Premier League title at his first attempt.
Littler hit an incredible nine-darter in the first leg to lift the roof off the O2 Arena, which saw opponent Humphries stand and applaud.
The teenager appeared galvanised and took control before seeing off Humphries to claim the title.
Littler said: "I'm a major winner, I can put myself in that hat now. I can't wait to go to New York next week and after that I'll have to have a week off in Orlando.”
And he will be more than covered for his trip to Florida after pocketing the tidy six-figure sum.
His total earnings from the competition of £315,000 more than doubles his career prize money and it's only a matter of time before he reaches the £1million milestone.
Since his rise to superstardom, Littler has banked a staggering £648,500 in prize money.
The 17-year-old's first cash windfall was the £200,000 runner-up prize at the World Championship final on January 3.
Almost five months on and with victories at the Bahrain Masters and now in Premier League darts, Littler has earned the equivalent of just over £31,000-a-week since his Ally Pally exploits.
Littler's career trajectory since his breakout at the world championships has been unprecedented.
Humphries got the better of the young star in the final at Alexandra Palace but was in no doubt that Littler was the better performer this time round.
"Tonight he was much stronger than I was and he deserved to win," said Humphries.
"And if you look at the season as a whole, he deserved to be Premier League champion.
"Of course I'm gutted not to win but you can't win everything. Six out of seven major finals for me now, I can only build on it."
