Luke Littler has a golden chance to win his first PDC World Championship title after reaching his second straight final.

'The Nuke' burst onto the sporting scene by reaching last year's final at Ally Pally at age 16 and in his debut professional tournament.

Littler became the youngest finalist in PDC World Darts Championship history but ultimately fell at the final stage after a 7-4 defeat to Luke Humphries.

He is now back in north London and is the hot favourites for glory this year, with only two men left.

Littler himself survived a scare before Christmas against world No.62 Ryan Meikle to seal a 3-1 victory but became visibly emotional in his post-match interview.

Fortunately for the No.4 seed, he then enjoyed a mini-break before Christmas Day and returned to the oche with another battling win over Ian White in the third round.

He saw off Ryan Joyce in a 4-3 fourth-round thriller in which he was taken to a deciding set by his opponent.

And in the last eight, Littler downed his good friend Nathan Aspinall 5-2 and is now just two wins from glory.

Littler then demolished one of the world's best players, Stephen Bunting, claiming a 6-1 win.

When is Littler’s next match?

The teenage star continues his World Darts Championship campaign against Michael van Gerwen in the final.

Littler vs Van Gerwen will take place on Friday, January 3.

The match is set to get underway at 8pm.
