Football bettings tips: Man City to heap pressure on Solskjaer by beating United, Chelsea to prove title credentials, Wolves will edge past Villa – Premier League predictions

We're all ready for another action-packed weekend of Premier League football.
Here are our betting tips and predictions for three massive games on Saturday, including two derby clashes...
The action gets under way on Saturday with a west Midlands derby.
Wolves were battered by Liverpool last time out while Villa haven't played in two weeks after a COVID outbreak at Newcastle forced their game to be called off.
After Villa’s fine start to the season, winning each of their opening four games, their form has worsened of late.
In fact, they’ve lost four of their past five Premier League matches and travel to a Wolves side who have conceded fewer home league goals (5) than any other team this season.
You can get Wolves to win to nil at 11/4 if you trust Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to bounce back from their Anfield nightmare and record another shutout - that's excellent value to us.
History is certainly not on Villa’s side heading into the match - they’ve lost on each of their past three visits to Molineux and have not won at the ground since January 2012.
Wolves, though, are hampered by the absence of top goalscorer Raul Jimenez, with the striker having undergone surgery on a fractured skull.
They are hardly prolific in attack - even with Jimenez in their side - and have scored only 11 goals in 11 games this season.
But Pedro Neto has looked lively for Santo's side, scoring twice in his last three games, and we reckon the home side will just about edge this one.
Neto is 2/1 to score anytime while we like the look of a Wolves win and under 2.5 goals at 18/5.
Villa’s hopes rest on their star duo of Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins.
Grealish has been cleared to play despite reportedly breaking coronavirus restrictions over the weekend, and he’ll hope to add to the five assists he’s recorded this term.
He’s 4/1 to get an assist against Wolves, or 10/3 to score and take his goal tally to six for the season.
Eight-goal leading scorer Watkins is 5/1 to be first scorer, while it is 14/1 he scores twice or more. That might be tempting to some - 45 per cent of his goals last season came in either braces or hat-tricks, and this term he’s netted five of his six league goals in only two games.
It's been a nightmare week for United and boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - and it could be about to get a whole lot worse.
The Red Devils crashed out of the Champions League following a 3-2 loss at RB Leipzig, and they now need to pick themselves up for a huge clash against their close neighbours City
Under-fire Solskjaer does have a good record against counterpart Pep Guardiola, with United doing the double over City last season.
But United have been dreadful at Old Trafford this season, picking up just four points from 15 at the Theatre of Dreams and, remarkably, it is 7/2 for the home side to win.
That might be tempting for some given City have struggled away from home in 2020, and have won just two of their five games on the road this term.
But Guardiola's side have struck seven goals in their past two games without reply and with Sergio Aguero back fit and on the scoresheet in midweek, we're backing City to pile the misery on Solskjaer.
In each of City's last 13 wins in the Premier League they have been ahead at half-time, so take the 27/20 on offer for them to be winning at half-time.
A dabble on City to win both halves at 9/5 could also be worth backing - unless you're confident Solskjaer's side can stage another unlikely comeback.
Kevin De Bruyne has been in blistering form in recent matches and we're expecting him to be at his scintillating best after he was rested for the visit of Marseille in midweek.
The Belgian, who is on spot-kick duties, has been priced at a generous 15/8 to get his third league goal of the season at Old Trafford.
We can see this be a high-scoring game and United netting too - City have conceded in four of their five away games - so 8/13 for both teams to score looks generous, while it is 11/5 for BTTS and City to win.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti is coming up against his former club and former player, Frank Lampard, in what is another mouth-watering Premier League clash that rounds off a huge day of action on talkSPORT.
Chelsea are looking good and have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three Premier League away games, as many as they had in their previous 35 in the competition.
Summer signing Edouard Mendy has been key to turning the Blues into a mean machine - he has the joint-most clean sheets this season, level with Tottenham's Hugo Lloris on five.
And we're backing the Senegal stopper to keep top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin at bay at 2/1.
Goodison Park has been no stranger to high-scoring games this season, with matches averaging nearly 4.5 goals per game.
We believe Lampard's men, who are unbeaten in 17 matches, are priced generously at 6/4 to win with over 2.5 goals scored in the encounter.
We also like the look of Chelsea to score in both halves at 29/20 - they have done that in their last four away games in all competitions.
Olivier Giroud, who has netted in each of his last six Premier League starts, has been central to the Blues' electric form and the World Cup winner to continue his scoring streak is tickling our fancy at 5/4.
