The Ryder Cup All-Star Match will take place on Wednesday, September 27.

It will be held at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome and play is due to start at 11:50am UK time.

The action will be shown on Sky Sports Golf, with their coverage set to to start at 1pm.

Ryder Cup 2023 All-Star Match: Format

Traditionally, the All-Star Match follows the same format as the Ryder Cup, meaning Team USA face off against Team Europe.

But things have been changed this year.

Instead, former Ryder Cup captains Colin Montgomerie and Corey Pavin each have a team made up of celebrities, as well as two leading disability golfers - Kipp Popert from England and Tommaso Perrino from Italy.

The players will then been split into three pairs on each team.

The pairs will then face off over seven holes, with the player winning each hole earning a point for their team.

The team with the most cumulative points across the three match-ups will win.

On Team Monty, we have Bale and Garret Hilbert from Dude Perfect, a YouTube group with 59.7million subscribers.

Leonardo Fioravanti, an Italian surfer, and Djokovic make up the rest of that team.

And on Team Pavin, we have former AC Milan and Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko and Ferrari F1 driver Carlos Sainz.

They are joined by Hollywood star Kathryn Newton.

Ryder Cup 2023 All-Star match: What has been said?

Ex-Real Madrid forward and multiple Champions League winner Bale can't wait to be involved.

He said: “The Ryder Cup is a special event, having experienced the incredible atmosphere at Europe’s win in 2010, I can’t wait to experience some of that magic again in Rome in a few weeks’ time.

"The All-Star Match, under the Captaincy of Colin Montgomerie, will be an amazing experience and I’m really looking forward to tee-ing it up with some great people.

"It’s sure to be a top event and one the fans will really enjoy.”

And tennis superstar Djokovic has echoed Bale's feelings.
