‘Shut the f*** up’ – Ryder Cup star Ian Poulter tells fan to ‘f*** off’ in X-rated rant at LIV Golf event

Ian Poulter was caught on camera hurling an X-rated tirade at a fan during a LIV Golf event in Texas last weekend.
In fresh footage from Sunday's final round of LIV Houston, the 48-year-old is seen taking issue with a spectator in a clip circulating on social media.
The video does not show what sparked Poulter’s rage, however it is being reported that the Englishman was being persistently heckled by one particular fan.
An irate Poulter asked the individual: "Why don't you f*** off?"
He then followed his explosive rant up with: "You were f****** piping up on the 18th tee, so f*** off."
Attempting to ease the tension between the pair, the fan replies: "Just relax."
However, his attempts to simmer the agitation only served to further fuel the Arsenal fan, who continued: "I suggest you shut the f*** up."
Poulter then issued a warning whilst being wheeled away on the back of a buggy, saying: "Next time he's out."
It was a tough day for the Ryder Cup hero whose luggage failed to turn up on arrival in Houston.
He went on to shoot a disappointing round of 79 to finish 2-over par in T46 in the 57-man field.
That was due in part to a below par final round which featured two birdies, five bogeys and two double bogeys.
Despite a disappointing showing at the Golf Club of Houston, Poulter pocketed a cool £97,000 in prize money.
Poulter, who is co-captain of Majesticks GC, has failed to find his rhythm in this season’s LIV Golf League.
He has registered just one top-ten finish from eight events and has failed to qualify for this weekend’s US Open.
