FedEx Cup 2024 & BMW Championship prize money and purse: How much is up for grabs as PGA season comes to an end

The 2024 PGA season is heading for an exciting climax, with the BMW Championship followed by the FedEx Cup.
Both tournaments come with huge payouts as the world's best continue to thrill golf fans around the globe.
As with the majority of PGA events, the prize pot for both is in the tens of millions of dollars, with the winners of each set to pocket massive sums of money.
Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy are both recent winners of the FedEx Cup, and they will be among the field looking to claim some nice end-of-season glory.
The BMW Championship is the second FedEx Cup play-off and includes just 50 players, with 20 having been cut after the first FedEx Cup play-off - the St.Jude Championship.
And for the last 50 players, there is a total of $20million up for grabs.
Of this, the winner will take home $3.6m, and the runner-up gets $2.16m.
Even the man who finishes third will take home over one million dollars.
Crucially, there are also 2,000 FedEx play-off points up for grabs for the winner.
Hovland claimed victory in this tournament last year and finished joint second at the St.Jude Championship, so he's got to be a contender to win once more.

For the 30 individuals lucky enough to qualify for the FedEx Cup next week, there is a whopping prize pot on offer.
A total of $100m is up for grabs for the competitors, and the winner takes home 25 per cent of that, meaning they claim an incredible $25m.
The runner-up gets half of that, so they walk away with a cool $12.5 million.
However, between the top ten, around $69m will be distributed, leaving the other 20 scrapping for $31m.
Of course, every player who enters will leave the tournament with a huge sum of money, which is why competition to make it into the last 30 is so fierce.
