‘I would love to captain a Ryder Cup team someday’, admits Lee Westwood

Lee Westwood admits he would love to be Europe's Ryder Cup captain one day.
The Englishman has an impressive pedigree in the competition, and is one of Europe's top performers with seven victories under his belt.
Westwood’s experience in the tournament means he is a serious candidate for future captaincy, a role he would relish.
“I’ve been involved in the Ryder Cup since 1997 and I watched it before then, so I would love to captain a Ryder Cup team someday,” .
The former world number one helped Europe defend the title in 2014 and hopes to lead out the team in years to come.
“Certainly when I get to 47/48 I’d love to be involved either as vice-captain or captain” he explained.
