Bryson DeChambeau hits spectator with first shot at Ryder Cup before smashing unbelievable 417-yard drive in crazy round of golf

Golf fans saw every crazy side of Bryson DeChambeau, the good and the bad, at the Ryder Cup on Friday.
But one fan was a little too close to the drama as the American's first tee shot struck her square on the shin.
Benched for the morning foursomes, big-hitting DeChambeau wasted no time pulling his driver for his first shot of the tournament in the afternoon four-balls.
A rowdy home crowd went wild as the golfer took aim at the 1st green with a monster drive.
DeChambeau doesn't care much for accuracy and his opening drive smashed a female spectator on the leg before settling in a treacherous spot.
However, with Team USA needing a birdie to halve the hole, DeChambeau produced a stunning escape from the rough and holed the putt, carding a rollercoaster opening birdie.
DeChambeau has been criticised for failing to shout 'fore' when his wild drives venture off-line - and there did not appear to be any warning for the unsuspecting woman in the crowd today.
The spectator was lucky the 350-yard strike avoided her head, while reports suggest she suffered no serious injury.
DeChambeau's unorthodox 'bomb and gouge' approach to golf splits opinion, but it's rarely dull, and all of that was on show in his opening round.
But he would save one of his biggest-ever drives for the fifth hole, smoking it 417 yards on a line no golfer has even looked at before.
The Californian, who will compete in a Long Drive competition after the Ryder Cup, had just 71 yards into the 581-yard par five, and flicked his second shot to within three feet.
Most have struggled to reach the fifth green in two, but DeChambeau had a wedge and a tap-in for eagle.
