UFC star Paddy Pimblett shocks Manchester United legend Gary Neville by revealing he reached 205lbs in weight by drinking Coca Cola and eating Nando’s and chocolate after UFC London win

Gary Neville couldn’t believe what he was hearing when UFC rising star Paddy Pimblett told him just how heavy he gets between fights.
The Liverpudlian has had a flying start to life in the UFC with two first-round finishes in his first couple of fights, the last of which was at the ultra-successful UFC London event in March.
Pimblett, who is open about his love of junk food, celebrated his win by pigging out for a few weeks and the results were quite extraordinary.
The lightweight division's limit is 155lbs, but the fighter quickly ballooned to 205lbs, which is what the light-heavyweights come in at.
“People say to me, ‘Oh, you’re fat’ and they think I struggle,” Pimblett told Neville on the latest episode of .
“I’ve still got 14.5kg [32lb] to lose [before UFC London]. That’s nothing. About six weeks ago I was 93kg [205lb] and I fight at 70kg [155lb] – that was me being fat. It just comes off me fast though. I’m 85.2kg [188lbs] this morning.
The Manchester United legend let out an audible gasp when ‘The Baddy’ revealed his weight between fights before the UFC star explained how he manages to pack on the pounds so quickly.
“That was when I was in America drinking three gallons of Coke as well as eating like 7000 calories a day, easy,” Pimblett said.
“The Monday after my fight, I got home. I just went for scrans [food] that day. I went for a big Nando’s in the night, and I was just eating chocolate all day. I counted my calories, and I’d eaten 11,000 calories, that was without trying.”
The 27-year-old insists that despite enjoying himself between fights he is a consummate professional and will have no issues making weight for his upcoming fight with Jordan Leavitt on July 23.
“We’ve struggled [to make weight] in the past when we’ve been unprofessional about it but now, we are very professional about it so we [don’t],” Pimblett said.
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion is on the verge of superstardom after picking up a legion of new fans since joining the UFC in 2021.
He’ll face his first step up in competition when he faces a fellow prospect in Leavitt, who boasts a 10-1 record and has picked up three wins from his first four UFC fights.
