UFC star Darren Till arrested for drinking driving in Sweden three years after he was charged with stealing a taxi in Tenerife

British UFC star Darren Till has once again found himself in trouble for getting behind the wheel in a foreign country.
This time he was arrested for drink driving in Sweden where he has been spending a lot of his time training with fellow UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev.
According to the Swedish national newspaper , which cited a police report related to his arrest on the night of July 31, Till was pulled over for speeding in a silver Audi with English registration plates.
The 29-year-old initially insisted that a woman he was travelling with was driving but she failed to corroborate his story.
He later admitted he was in fact in control of the vehicle.
‘The Gorilla’ was hesitant to confirm he was behind the wheel after drinking ‘one to two beers’ while at a restaurant.
Police noted that Till was ‘noticeably intoxicated’ before he submitted a breath test for alcohol which came back three times over the legal limit.
This is not the first time that Till has found himself on the wrong side of the law in a foreign land.
He was also arrested during a 2019 trip to Tenerife for trashing a hotel room and stealing a taxi.
The scouse MMA star and his friends were chucked out of a lodging complex after they broke furniture and emptied extinguishers, as reported by .
After being expelled from their initial hotel, they allegedly went to another in the upper area of El Duque, but they were refused.
At this point, Till and his friends ordered a taxi and when the driver was putting their bags in his boot, two individuals – one of which was Till – took control of the car and sped off towards La Caleta before later being apprehended by local law enforcement.
Till was scheduled to face Jack Hermansson in the co-main event at the O2 Arena in London on July 23 but pulled out of the bout due to a knee injury.
That was just the latest blow for the 18-4-1 fighter who has struggled for fitness and form in recent years while his teammates and compatriots have helped take MMA in Britain to another level during his absence.
