Former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor appears to be enjoying his first few days on a movie set.

In August, it was revealed that ‘Notorious’ will star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in Amazon Prime’s new re-imagining of the 1980s classic, Road House.

Gyllenhaal will star as a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a road house in the Florida Keys but soon discovers everything is not what it seems.

While it is currently not known who McGregor will play in his acting debut, it has been confirmed it will be an original character and the charismatic Irishman will not be playing himself.

McGregor has now travelled to the Dominican Republic to begin filming and the 34-year-old has been documenting his time on set on social media.

‘Mystic Mac’ first uploaded a video with no sound that seemingly showed him in discussions with production staff about an upcoming scene, he captioned the clip: “This movie is wild!"

The MMA legend later uploaded an image of him enjoying some food between takes while revealing that he is working “12 hour days” on his first ever movie, which is sure to be a shock to the system.

McGregor has been enjoying a life of luxury over the last year, travelling the world with his family on their Lamborghini superyacht while he recovers from injury.

In July 2021 at UFC 264, McGregor fractured his tibia and fibula in a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier. Ever since he’s been focused on his recovery and MMA comeback which will come in 2023.

During his time away from fighting, the Irishman has seriously bulked up.

While his new physique will look great on the silver screen, he believes it will also come in handy when he returns to the Octagon to take on the very best UFC welterweights.

McGregor is targeting a shot at the 170lb title recently acquired by Leon Edwards but he has some work to do to get himself back in title contention after losing back-to-back bouts and winning just one fight since 2016.
