Michael Bisping medically suspended for six months

Michael Bisping has been medically suspended for 180 days after retaining his UFC middleweight belt at UFC 204 in Manchester on October 8th.

The Manchester native won the bout via unanimous decision but ultimately took far more damage than his opponent Dan Henderson, being knocked down by two 'H-Bombs' in the early rounds of the fight, scarring Bisping's face badly in the process.

Those two knock downs could have, and maybe would have been knockouts if it was any fighter other than Bisping that night, and as a result he has been signed off for six months in order to recover fully.

His opponent Henderson also received a suspension, but his was only for 30 days due to a laceration received in the bout.

However, that suspension is as good as void as 'Hendo' confirmed after the fight he would be retiring from the sport.
