Mark Zuckerberg leaves wife angry by building octagon in his garden before UFC star invites himself over for training session

Mark Zuckerberg has taken his MMA training to the next level, and not everyone is happy about it.
The Facebook co-founder recently left his wife, Priscilla Chan, fuming after building a UFC octagon in their back garden without getting her approval.
On Wednesday, Zuckerberg shared a text conversation between the pair who clearly have very different views on how to best utilise their outdoor space.
"It looks awesome," he told Chan.
Zuckerberg added: "We have plenty of yard space!"
The tech billionaire attached a poll so his 12.3 million followers could settle the debate as his wife replied: "I have been working on that grass for two years."
UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns quickly showed whose side he is on by inviting himself over for a training session.
He wrote on Threads: “I’m coming!"
Zuckerberg replied: “Would love to train with you sometime!”
The 39-year-old first became a fan of MMA in 2020 and his wife has been supportive of his new passion even though she doesn’t particularly like fighting.
At least, that’s how it appeared when they attended a private UFC event together last October.
The couple sat in the front row with Dana White for a UFC APEX card.
Zuckerberg was pictured with a massive grin on his face as he cheered on the fighters all night, meanwhile, Chan was seen covering her eyes during one particularly gruesome fight.
Since then, the American has been flirting with making his MMA debut.
Earlier this year, he competed in a BJJ competition for the first time and shocked the world by walking away with two medals before being promoted to Blue Belt.
A fight with Twitter owner Elon Musk has also been discussed.
The social media rivals agreed to clash in the UFC and White soon set the wheels in motion for what he believes would be the biggest pay-per-view event of all time.
Zuckerberg took up training offers from current UFC champions Alexander Volkanovski and Israel Adesanya, while Musk was pictured working out with retired legend Georges St-Pierre.
As of late, talk about their fight of the century has cooled off, but putting an actual octagon in his back garden shows the Meta CEO is taking his training seriously.
Perhaps, we’ll see him face Musk or someone else in MMA next year.
