Demetrious Johnson agrees to face bodybuilder who told Devin Haney he’d ‘beat the f***’ out of him in street fight

Demetrious Johnson has agreed to grapple with a bodybuilder who is almost twice his size.

In May, Bradley Martyn caused a stir by confidently predicting he would 'beat the f***' out of Devin Haney in a street fight.

The YouTuber has no professional fighting experience but believes the fact he weighs 18.6 stone [260lbs] would carry him through a no holds barred fight with the much smaller boxer.

Martyn faced backlash on social media for his comments but has since doubled down by asking UFC fighter Nate Diaz how a street fight between them would play out.

More recently, he joked with Brendan Schaub about the same thing before the former UFC heavyweight contender claimed ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson would beat him in a fight.

The ex-UFC flyweight champion wasn’t someone Martyn had ever heard of, but he confidently claimed as Schaub laughed: "I’m going to crush his head on the floor."

A few days later, the two pals met up again to watch UFC 291, and ‘Big Brown’ revealed that Johnson had been in touch about a grappling match with Martyn.

“I think the clip of us on Twitter is over eight million views now of me saying that 'Mighty Mouse' can beat you up,” Schaub said.

“Now, little update on that, I spoke to ‘Mighty Mouse’ yesterday because he reposted the clip.

“He’s like, 'Tell him I’m down. It’s not going to go well.’

'Mighty Mouse' is confident weight won't be an issue

“See you soon Bradley Martyn,” Johnson tweeted on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old may be small but he’s arguably MMA’s greatest fighter.

At his peak, he reigned over the UFC’s 8.9 stone division and made 11 consecutive flyweight title defences before suffering a split decision defeat against Henry Cejudo in August 2018.

Johnson was then traded to ONE Championship where he has since won five fights and avenged his only defeat by beating Adriano Moraes twice after being knocked out by him in 2021.
