Conor McGregor answers question about Michael Chandler fight and wants UFC 300 involvement

Conor McGregor has provided an update on his highly-anticipated fight with Michael Chandler.
Earlier this year the lightweight contenders coached on The Ultimate Fighter 31 ahead of a proposed fight, which is still yet to be announced.
After various delays, many fight fans were left wondering if the fight will happen at all.
However, in a recent Twitter AMA, McGregor says he remains confident a date for the fight will materialise.
Responding to a fan question about why the fight keeps getting pushed back, McGregor said: "I am confident we get the set date.
"There is no one holding no one back. A lot goes on behind the scenes but all involved are working hard to make it happen."

The Irish MMA legend has been out of the octagon since July 2021 after breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
McGregor also had to complete six months of clean testing before he was eligible to fight again. The 35-year-old paved the way for his return in October 2023 when he reentered the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency's (USADA) testing pool.
However, the development coincided with USADA announcing that it would be ending its partnership with the UFC in January 2024, casting fresh doubts over McGregor's return date.
Speculation has been rife that McGregor could make his return at UFC 300, which still without a date or venue, but he is hopeful he is on the card.

He told a fan he was 'in' for the landmark event, posting a prayer emoji suggesting he was hopeful it could happen.
The former two-weight world champion also shared his thoughts on Chandler ahead of the proposed bout.
When asked if he likes Chandler, McGregor told a fan: 'Yes, I think he is a good guy. Albeit I won’t get over connected to that like past. Emotionless. A working man with a job in front of him. A handy job hahaha'.
The 155lb star also teased a potential fourth fight with rival Poirier. 'Let’s be real, it’s a must. Unfinished,' he said.
It comes after McGregor's coach John Kavanagh told talkSPORT that his fighter will ‘definitely’ make his UFC comeback during the first half of 2024.
"He’s training very regular now, he’s very committed", Kavanagh said.
“We have no date set yet, but within the first half of next year he’ll definitely have his comeback
He added: “Conor just wants to fight.
“If you offered him a fight this Saturday, he’d take it.
“If it’s UFC 300, great!
“We just wanna get back in there, get busy, and hopefully get a few fights together.”
