Dana White will announce UFC 300 main event this week as fans spare him from bizarre forfeit

The main event at UFC 300 is yet to be announced but a big reveal could be on its way.
UFC President Dana White and popular MMA influencer Nina Drama said on Instagram they would announce the hotly-anticipated headline bout this week but only if a video involving the pair got to 10,000 comments.
However, there was one catch.
If the clip, which involves Drama handing White a bottle of oil, didn't get to 10,000 comments, then Dana would have to be oiled up.
Fortunately for the MMA mogul, the post got the required comments and UFC fans spared White from a good oiling up.
"It’s been 11 minutes and this post already got 10k likes, insane," one fan said.
UFC light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker also revealed he'd done his part, commenting: "Done."
Others were slightly more puzzled by the forfeit.
Women's Flyweight Champion Alexa Grasso commented underneath the post: "Whats that oil stuff !? how it started whaaats that."
"It’s a meme to make him [White] uncomfortable," one fan responded to the Mexican champion.
"Dana was live on Instagram and some random said 'I wanna oil you up' and Dana read it not knowing how to feel about it lol," joked another.
The 'oil him up' comments have flooded White's social media posts in recent months.
The meme has taken on a life of its own and become a viral sensation across Instagram and TikTok.
Despite the peculiar nature of the joke, White has consistently responded with good humour to the unusual trend.
After announcing the women's strawweight title fight between Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan at UFC 300, White joked he was in no mood to be 'oiled up'.
"Don't be talking about oiling anybody up today you f***ing lunatics," he said.
The historic UFC 300 fight card takes place on April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and already has 10 fights locked in.
However, the main event is still a mystery and White has been teasing fans about it for weeks.
“I just gave you guys a 300 fight. When will you get the main event?", White recently said on Instagram.
"You guys can’t even handle the main event. We’re working on a couple of different options. Trust me, the UFC 300 main event is going to be crazy.
“We have a couple options for the main event. I’m still playing with it, I’m still playing with it. When it’s time, I will give it to you.”
Speculation is rife about who the main event could feature, with the likes of Dricus Du Plessis vs Israel Adesanya, Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler, Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya 3 and Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 all touted by fans.
McGregor was not previously thought to be a legitimate option for the card but recently tweeted, “McGregor on 300 seals the deal,” fuelling rumours he could indeed feature.
His potential opponent, Michael Chandler, added fuel to the fire by responding, "I accept. See you soon."
UFC 300 already features a number of exciting matchups.
As well as the women's strawweight title fight, Justin Gaethje's 'BMF' belt will be on the line against featherweight legend Max Holloway in a 155lb scrap.
Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan will also face off in a lightweight title eliminator match while Kayla Harrison will make her eagerly-anticipated UFC debut in a women's bantamweight match with former champion Holly Holm.
