Francis Ngannou’s potential MMA comeback opponents couldn’t be more different.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the former UFC heavyweight champion will return to his first sport after boxing Anthony Joshua on March 8.

PFL, who Ngannou signed with after he departed from Dana White’s promotion, announced ‘The Predator’ will learn who his next MMA opponent will be this weekend.

Renan Ferreira and Ryan Bader will throw down for the chance to face Ngannou in the main event of PFL vs Bellator: CHAMPIONS in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

On Friday, both men weighed in before coming together for a face-off.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson was the man in the middle as Ngannou’s potential foes squared off, but MMA fans were more interested in the massive size difference between them.

Ferreira is aptly nicknamed ‘Problema’, stands at 6ft 8in tall and is known for his ferocious knockout power – it’d certainly be a ‘don’t blink’ type of fight against Ngannou.

Bader is six inches smaller and has spent the majority of his career competing at light-heavyweight where he used his grappling skills to become a champion with Bellator.

Fans expressed their shock and concern on social media after realising just how big Ferreira is compared to his latest opponent.

One fan wrote: “Holy crap the size difference.”

Another said: “Bader’s in trouble.”

A third person commented: “How tall is that dude? Bader looks little compared to that monster!!"

Someone else wrote: “Bader getting finished 100%.”

While some fans are worried about how Bader will cope against someone who is 30lbs heavier than him, the American is supremely confident of beating Ferreira and earning a fight with Ngannou.

“Yeah, he’s a big dude, for sure,” Bader told marvelbet369.com.

“I feel like my strengths are definitely his glaring weaknesses. You know, his ground game, his cardio, his heart, and he hasn’t fought the guys I have fought at all.

“That being said, he’s tough, long on his feet, he obviously hits hard and he’s a big man.”

“So, we have to stick to our game plan but I feel like I have many more ways to win.”
