UFC 299 LIVE: UK start time, undercard and how to follow as Sean O’Malley defends title against old conqueror Marlon Vera

Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will be out for revenge when he faces Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera at UFC 299 tonight.
‘Suga’ is making the first title defence of his belt against the man who handed him the only loss of his career so far.
The 29-year-old was finished by Vera in a first-round TKO at UFC 252 in August 2020 having suffered a leg injury.
After that, O’Malley recovered to beat four contenders to earn a title shot before knocking out Aljamain Sterling inside two rounds at UFC 292 earlier this year.
He can now avenge the only blemish on his 17-1 record, while Vera has won five of his seven fights since their original meeting in New York.
UFC 299 is scheduled for Saturday, March 9 and will be held at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
The preliminary action is set to begin from 11pm UK time before the main card gets going at around 2am UK time.
The headline fight can then be expected at 5am on Sunday morning for UK fans.

“I’m honestly surprised that it’s happening, in a sense,” O’Malley himself said in an .
“I didn’t think that he would get to the title shot, and did he really deserve it after his performance over Pedro Munhoz? I don’t know, but I thought, ‘You know what? It’s time that I take him out.’ So here we are, and it’s very exciting.”
He added: “I think it’s the biggest fight in the division.
“I think it’s an important fight from what happened the first time. I claim that I’m undefeated and he claims that he beat me. So now March 9, we get to settle – we’ll see who was right.”
