Ilia Topuria smashes punch machine with thunderous power and beats UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s score

UFC champion Ilia Topuria has beaten Conor McGregor's most recent punch machine score with a thunderous shot.
Topuria is currently undefeated in his 15-fight MMA career, and pulled off an impressive win over Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in February to capture the crown.
The Spaniard scored a powerful stoppage against the New Zealander, closing the show in the second round with a thumping right hand which left the previous title-holder unconscious.
His stocks are continuing to rise on the UFC roster, even being endorsed by footballing giants Real Madrid as he was paraded on the pitch at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Topuria is currently waiting for his next challenge, but in his spare time he has been taking on a much easier test in the shape of the arcade punch machine.
He unleashed a booming right hook on the machine, which saw his score climb quickly all the way to 925, just 15 shy of the 942 record on the specific machine.
Although the score is not an entirely accurate barometer for power, Topuria used a very similar punch which sent Volkanovski crashing to the canvas.
UFC superstar McGregor, who also reigned as featherweight champion several years ago, recently took on a machine himself.
The Irishman first got a score of just one, after the machine failed to register his opening attempt.
But he did follow up with another left hook, which registered a score of 858 which was more than his three-time rival Dustin Poirier.
Topuria had called out McGregor following his shock win earlier this year, insisting that the UFC should be brought to his native Spain.
He shouted: “Dana [White], it's showtime, it’s time to take the UFC to Spain.
“And Conor McGregor, if you still have some b****, I will be waiting for you in Spain.”
His potential rival's response failed to ignite any official talks, and it is extremely unlikely that the Irishman will return to featherweight in his career.
He is instead expected to return at either 170lbs or 185lbs in a comeback bout with Michael Chandler, which is being targeted for International Fight Week in July.
