Alex Pereira shatters Francis Ngannou’s world record on punch machine ahead of UFC 300 fight

Alex Pereira has shown just how powerful he can punch ahead of UFC 300.
'Poatan' took on the infamous PowerKube ahead of his main event showdown with Jamahal Hill in Las Vegas at UFC 300, as he looks to continue his reign as UFC light-heavyweight champion.
Many have questioned whether the giant could make the switch to heavyweight in the future, and he has shown he can certainly punch like one when throwing an earth-shattering shot at the machine.
According to the machine, Pereira packed a mammoth 191,796 in a single punch which is a simply incredible score.
Ex-UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou previously set the record on the machine in 2018 with 129,161 units for his single punch, a score which the Brazilian has completely shattered.
Pereira's team who watched the shot land, let out an audible gasp with the UFC champion clearly delighted with his powerful attempt.
It is a remarkable feat, given several natural UFC heavyweights have tried and failed to dislodge The Predator's astronomical record.
The record is particularly mind-blowing given Pereira began his career at middleweight, where he famously stopped Israel Adesanya and became champion at UFC 281 in November 2022.
Despite celebrating his record, attentions will now turn back to his huge clash with Hill as part of the UFC's latest anniversary event.
His rival has since been shown the footage of the powerful punch and simply laughed it off, insisting he will be victorious in their showdown.
But the champion's former rival Adesanya has surprisingly backed Hill to get the job done in the octagon and snatch the title from his clutches.
“Jamahal, I just don’t think is scared,” he said on his .
“Jamahal has got power, scary knockout power as well and Alex can get knocked out.
“He's beatable, we all know this, and I’ve proven it.
“I’m gonna go Jamahal by KO. I think it’s gonna be in the first two and a half [rounds].”
