Ronda Rousey namechecks Joe Rogan as she slams reaction to her losses and recent concussion revelation

Ronda Rousey isn't happy with some people’s reactions to her recent health revelation.
During a media tour to promote her new memoir ‘Our Fight’ the former UFC bantamweight champion sent shockwaves through the MMA world by detailing her long history with concussions.
Rousey told that a fall down a set of stairs meant she was concussed going into her famous KO loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193 in November 2015.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan hasn’t spoken publicly about her concussion issues, but he was the first name that sprang to mind when the MMA legend discussed media personalities who had wronged her.
“It was disappointing to see how happily everyone turned on me,†Rousey said onÂ
“People like Joe Rogan, who was crying in the ring out of the honour to call my fights, people I considered friends in the media, so quickly turned on me.
“I’m also kind of grateful for it, in a way, because it forced me to separate other people’s perception of me, from my own perception of myself, which I hadn’t realized had become intertwined.
“When you have that outpouring of love and support from people, you’re being love-bombed from the world. And how do I keep this going?
"I was pandering to everybody and doing things that other people would think was cool, but I didn’t really enjoy.â€
The 37-year-old feels unnamed people in MMA, whom she thought she had good relationships with, have downplayed her health issues and suggested she is making excuses for losing.
Rousey added: “MMA media hates me, it’s fine. No, not a single person has called me or anything like that.
“They’ve all just doubled down and said that I’m making excuses or lying. Or was blowing things out of proportion or not giving credit where it’s due.â€
“I get that they’re a bunch of a***h***s. That’s what I get. I get f*** you.
"I would rather not have those fake friendships in my life. I would rather those people expose themselves and I don’t leave myself open to them. I would rather cleanse myself of all those fake superficial relationships than have them still around.â€
Rousey transitioned to professional wrestling following a second successive loss to Amanda Nunes in December 2016 - but fans were hoping she’d return to fighting at some point.
The confession about her concussion issues essentially rules out an MMA comeback, and it’s unclear what Rousey plans to do next after leaving the WWE last year.
One thing is certain, she won’t be breaking bread with Rogan anytime soon.
