It was on short-notice and odds were stacked against the former bare-knuckle boxer and UFC star, but she came through in incredible fashion.

VanZant began the fight with her maiden shot, but her rival ate it and aimed a fierce look back as a 'welcome' to the league.

But the 30-year-old was not overwhelmed by her rival's power who unleashed her first slap, but she hardly grimaced and remained unmoved.

It was in the high-profile star's second shot where the highlight moment cane as she unleashed a thunderous slap.

Her rival looked crushed by the shot and began to lose her balance, before regaining her composure and dropping to a knee doubled over.

It was clear she was seriously hurt from the shot, and she received a count from the referee after being knocked down.

Wolmarans was able to clamber back to her feet and begged for more in an incredible display of resilience.

But VanZant showed no sign of wilting and continued to bite down on the gumshield after receiving another shot.

The ex-UFC star then dropped her opponent with another blow, as she was forced to cling on to the podium before dropping to a knee for a second time.

It was a second knockdown and ensured that after three slaps, VanZant had done more than enough to claim a hugely successful first win.

She was able to survive a fourth attempt from her rival, who was granted the extra shot after VanZant was penalised for a flinching foul.

The judges scored the contest unanimously at 30-25 in her favour and she grabbed a win in what is looking like a positive career move.

VanZant said after the final result was announced: “Honestly, it was absolutely incredible.

"Of course I wanted to knock her out with the first slap, but I’m so happy that it went the way that it did.

"I knew I could take a punch, I knew I could take a slap. That was really fun.”

VanZant also indicated it wouldn't be a one-off appearance as she looks to team up with creator White for a long-term period.

She will also likely return to the boxing ring in the near future, having drawn with Elle Brooke in a recent clash on influencer promotion Misfits Boxing.
