Alexander Volkanovski shows off breakdancing moves to rival viral Australian Olympian Raygun

Alexander Volkanovski has jokingly put himself forward as Australia’s next Olympic breakdancer.
Raygun - real name Rachael Gunn – made headlines all over the world when she represented the country she shares with the UFC champion at the 2024 Paris Games.
The 36-year-old failed to win over the judges as her breaking routine earned her three straight scores of zero, which resulted in a resounding 54-0 defeat on Friday.
Raygun wore a green and yellow Australian Olympic tracksuit, while her rivals were kitted out in streetwear as breaking made its debut as a Games event.
The university lecturer was heavily criticised for humiliating Australia with her performance, which included bouncing around the stage like a kangaroo.
However, she’s also become a viral star and one of the hottest topics of conversation Down Under - even Volkanovski has been fielding questions about her.
The former UFC featherweight champion was reminded about the time he breakdanced on camera with a performance some would argue was better than the one Raygun put on at the Olympics.
“I think he qualifies,” Volkanovski said after watching his moves back.
‘The Great’ proved that he’s still got it as he replicated his breakdancing routine by doing ‘The Worm’, spinning around on the floor, and landing in a perfect pose.
Volkanovski may have impressed everyone in the room as his daring dance display was met with a chorus of cheers, but he won’t be changing sports anytime soon.
The 35-year-old is focused on becoming a UFC champion once again.
Volkanovski was widely regarded as the best MMA fighter on the planet during his reign as featherweight champion that spanned four years and five defences.
After twice failing in his bid to become a two-weight titleholder against Islam Makhachev, Volkanvoski returned to 145lbs and got knocked out by Ilia Topuria earlier this year.
Topuria will defend his belt against former champion Max Holloway at UFC 308 on October 26 and the winner of their fight is expected to face Volkanovski in 2025.
As for Raygun, she is glad to have made her mark the only way she knew how.
She said: "I was never going to beat these girls on what they do best, the dynamic and the power moves.”
“I wanted to move differently, be artistic and creative because how many chances do you get in a lifetime to do that on an international stage?
"I was always the underdog and wanted to make my mark in a different way."
