Stipe Miocic has sent social media into meltdown after sharing a shirtless selfie.

The former two-time heavyweight champion is currently preparing to face the current king of big men, Jon Jones, at UFC 309 in New York on November 9.

On Monday evening, Miocic gave his – formerly known as Twitter – followers a sneak peek of his physique and added a caption that suggested he is happy with his appearance.

“Train like a beast, look like a beauty,” the 41-year-old wrote.

Miocic isn’t ripped, but he never is.

The American looks lean and seems to be in a similar shape to when he beat top heavyweights Daniel Cormier, Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem.

And it's safe to say that UFC fans were impressed with how he looked ahead of his comeback.

One person posted: “Looking Prime.”

Another commented: “Holy f***.”

A third person added: “THE CHAMP IS HERE !!!”

Someone else predicted: “Jones going to sleep.”

Miocic has been keeping a low profile since losing his title in March 2021.

The MMA legend got brutally knocked out by Francis Ngannou at UFC 260.

Jones won the heavyweight belt when Ngannou made it vacant and left the UFC to explore lucrative boxing bouts with former world champion Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Miocic and Jones were supposed to headline UFC 295 last November, but the man Dana White insists is the best fighter ever, suffered a gruesome injury and withdrew from the dust-up.

Tom Aspinall subsequently KO’d Sergei Pavlovich in 69 seconds to win an interim title in his absence.

The Englishman has since defended the secondary belt by taking out Curtis Blaydes in a minute at UFC 304 last month.

He’ll be ready if Jones or Miocic withdraw from the UFC 309 headliner.

“I'm gonna be the backup for the fight,” Aspinall recently revealed. “If one of them pulls out, you better believe I'm in. On an hour's notice if I need to."

“I should be the undisputed heavyweight champion. Everybody knows that now.

"My body of work over the last few years shows that I took out every contender that there is at this point, and I should be the UFC heavyweight champion.

“I'm the best heavyweight in the world and I'll wipe out both [Jones and Miocic] in one night if I need to.

"I'm fighting for the undisputed next. I'll fight anybody for the undisputed title, but I'm not fighting for the interim again."

Even if Miocic wins, he's not expected to take on Aspinall.

The UFC boss believes he will retire no matter how his first fight in more than three years plays out - but he thinks Jones may stick around.

“Stipe 100 per cent is going to retire after this fight,” White recently revealed.

“Listen, Jon Jones, you know how I talk about Jon Jones and what I think of Jon Jones as a fighter — Jon Jones always loves to challenge himself, moved up to Heavyweight.

“I don’t know what Jon Jones will do after this fight, but I would be shocked if he didn’t want to test himself against Aspinall."
