Dana White is wondering who invited Oscar De La Hoya to UFC 306.

The MMA mogul has been feuding with ‘Golden Boy’ ever since he publicly trashed Floyd Mayweather’s fight with Conor McGregor in 2017.

White and De La Hoya have frequently taken shots at each other – but the former six-weight boxing world champion has now publicly supported his rival’s upcoming event.

However, it's got nothing to do with mending fences. De La Hoya simply wanted to make a point about how bad he thinks Canelo Alvarez's next fight is.

Mexico’s boxing superstar, who had a falling out with De La Hoya in 2020, is set to defend his WBA, WBC and WBO super-middleweight belts against Edgar Berlanga on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

On the same night, in the same city, White will bring combat sports to the £2billion Sphere with a card that will celebrate Mexican Independence Day.

During a recent rant on social media, De La Hoya claimed he will be attending UFC 306 instead of Canelo’s fight, even though he’s a massive boxing fan and has a bitter history with White.

The UFC CEO was shocked to hear that De La Hoya will be coming to his event this weekend and wondered how he managed to get tickets.

“I don’t know where he’s getting his tickets from, but he definitely isn’t getting it from me,” White told .

“I don’t know if he’s coming with Sheikh Turki, or what his deal is.

“But yeah, I saw it. And it’s him trying to s*** on Canelo. I said it a million times, I respect Canelo. I like Canelo. Met him, he’s a nice guy.”

Although they will go head-to-head with rival shows in Sin City, White is planning to pay homage to Canelo during UFC 306.

“Somebody said to me, ‘So you’ll be celebrating Canelo that night?’

"Yes, we are. Canelo is a big part of the night.
