UFC CEO Dana White continues to defend his stance on Jon Jones.

For the past several months, White has been telling anyone who will listen that his heavyweight champion is not only the greatest fighter of all time, he’s also the pound-for-pound best right now.

Some fans have pointed out that Jones has fought just once in four years and therefore cannot be considered as the P4P best ahead of Islam Makhachev or Alex Pereira.

White went live on Instagram before his latest Contender Series show on Tuesday evening and encountered a fan who disagreed with his Jones verdict.

They let him know in a not-so-nice way before the MMA mogul fired back.

“Stop riding Jones,” White said while reading through his comments before hitting back at the fan with an explicit rant.

He added: “Shut the f*** up! Look at the stats. Read them.

“Best of all time and he’s the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world.

“Ride that, motherf*****!”

Jones is officially ranked #3 on the UFC’s pound-for-pound list, which is voted on by members of the media, who White recently clashed with on the subject.

The 55-year-old called them “f****** stupid” during a 12-minute debate.

Jones will have the chance to improve his P4P ranking later this year.

The heavyweight king has fought since winning his belt against Ciryl Gane in March 2021, despite being booked to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 296 last November.

Jones suffered a shoulder injury and has been out of action ever since.

However, his fight with Miocic is expected to take place at UFC 309 in November.

The winner will move on to face interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, who has been trying to goad Jones into a fight ever since he beat Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 in July.

“He wants the easy fight, Stipe [Miocic], for now,” Aspinall said on the latest episode of his show.

“But I have the faith. Jon’s getting a bit ticked off with me at the minute, which is my intention. I’m trying to test his ego to see if he could be like, ‘Actually, I’m the man at heavyweight, I’m gonna show you’.

“So that’s what I’m working on at the moment. It seems that Jon is getting a little bit fuming with me so that’ll be nice if he continues that.

“He might be trolling everybody, who knows?”
