Eddie Hall advises Jon Jones to retire and avoid getting humiliated by sparring partner Tom Aspinall

Eddie Hall only sees one winner in a potential fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.

‘Bones’ will put his heavyweight title on the line against former two-time champion Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 309 in New York on November 16.

Aspinall currently owns the UFC interim heavyweight title and will be sitting cageside to watch two of MMA’s greatest legends clash at Madison Square Garden.

The Englishman will be ready to step in if Jones or Miocic fall out of UFC 309.

All being well, the winner will move on to fight Aspinall at in 2025 – but Jones has suggested he may retire instead, and Hall thinks that would be a wise move.

The former ‘World’s Strongest Man’ trained with Aspinall ahead of his MMA debut, which saw him knock out two influencers in a bizarre handicap match.

“I think that’s the fight everyone wants to see,” Hall said when asked about Jones vs Aspinall during an interview with .

“Tom really wants that fight to prove he’s number one.

"Jones has the fight with Stipe Miocic coming up. If he wins, I think it would be wise for him to retire before he fights Tom, because Tom is just a different league.

“I think Tom would wipe the floor with Jon Jones if I’m being honest.”

Hall and Aspinall have developed a friendship since training together.

Hall added: “Tom’s an amazing guy. I sponsor Tom through Beast Farm.

“Tom is so deceiving. He’s such a nice guy, dead pleasant, but he’s got that flick switch.

“I’ve sparred and wrestled with Tom, and it’s like being in the cage with a lion. He’s someone who just plays with you, but you know, at any point, he could rip you to pieces.”

Despite Hall’s thoughts and Jones’ consistent talk bout retirement, Dana White is confident that the American won’t try to avoid a fight with Aspinall.

The UFC boss expects Miocic to retire win or lose at UFC 309, but he insists Jones will stick around to prove he’s the best.

"There’s no way in hell that Jon Jones doesn’t want to fight Aspinall,” White said recently.

“That I guarantee you.”
