Abdelaziz also said McGregor is a 'weak, mental midget', 'soft like a marshmallow' and a 'no good son of a b****'.

However, UFC CEO and president White has dismissed the comments made by Gaethje's manager regarding one of MMA's top stars.

"I don't know if that's true," he laughingly said in response during a for his Contender Series promotion.

"Conor McGregor... I've said this many times and I'll say it again, I mean we actually have video footage of Lorenzo [Fertitta] and I walking into his house that he was renting here.

"He just woke up, telling him that the fight [against Jose Aldo in July 2015] fell out and he's literally leaving going, 'Well, I'm going to train, let me know who I'm fighting when I get back.'

"We've never had those kind of issues with Conor McGregor, ever."

McGregor has had a long-standing wait for a return to the octagon but his next fight is yet to be confirmed.

He last fought Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, where he lost by suffering a broken leg in the first round.

'Notorious' was tipped to make his comeback in June at UFC 303 to face Michael Chandler in a headline bout.

However, it was called off earlier on in the month due as McGregor broke his toe during sparring.

Chandler has instead been offered a rematch against Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 in November, with McGregor saying he's 'out of the loop'.

Despite this, the Irishman has revealed that there are other possible opponents for his comeback fight, whenever that may be.

"We are looking for a comeback date," he said. "I’d like to square it away with Michael Chandler.

"You know, I’d like to get Chandler in, we’ve had our beef, and it’s not settled. He has a match scheduled. I would like to fight before he’s recovered.

“So there’s a few names in the line at the minute. There’s a few names being discussed.”
