The Notorious will compete for the Lightweight Belt against the undefeated Russian in less than one month's time

Conor McGregor is less than one month away from his UFC return against the ferocious Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Lightweight title fight will take place in Las Vegas on October 6, and is widely viewed as the biggest fight in mixed martial arts history.

McGregor has not set foot in the octagon professionally since producing a clinical striking performance to knock out Eddie Alvarez in November 2016.

Coming off the back of his revenge victory over Nate Diaz, the Irishman was looking to add Alvarez's lightweight belt to his featherweight strap.

Never before had a fighter held two belts from two different weight classes at the same time in UFC history.
