Nate Diaz isn’t interested in champions Khabib or Kamara Usman – he wants Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and UFC 241 opponent, Anthony Pettis

4. Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz is something of a cult hero to a large section of UFC fans because he just doesn't care - all he wants is a good fight.

Conor McGregor gave him two of those and he managed to win one of them, but we haven't seen Diaz since the second McGregor bout back in 2016.

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz had two absolute wars

Finally, the 34-year-old is set to return this Saturday against  Anthony Pettis at UFC 241 and it seems that his exile in UFC has come from both himself and the company.

In an interview with ESPN, Diaz suggested he is not interested in fighting the world champions at the two weights he can make - Kamara Usman (welterweight) and Khabib Nurmagomedov (lightweight).

Those fights don't excite the Stockton-native. Tearing it up with McGregor for a third time, scrapping with Pettis and having as war with Jorge Masvidal are much more appealing.

As you can see from the video above, Diaz pays precious little attention to who is where, he just wants to fight god fighters.

His battle with Pettis in Anaheim, California is sure to be explosive and would put both men in line for huge opportunities down the road.

McGregor is still looking for his comeback fight, likely to be in 2020 now. Coiuld it be Diaz? One has to think the trilogy fight will always be there when both men are ready.
