Dana White says he has ‘no clue’ when Michael Bisping got his fake eye and believes he fought with it in UFC

When former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping popped his fake eye out - yes, you read right - it's fair to say it took a lot of people by surprise.

During an interview, The Count revealed reports of his eye being damaged were far worse than suggested. In fact, he had it removed.

Michael Bisping pulled his prosthetic eye out of his skull while filming his podcastHe also stated he was basically completely blind in one eye for his final few fights.

Of course, this poses some questions UFC's way: how could the Brit get medically cleared to fight if that was the case?

UFC president Dana White says Bisping had all the proper UFC medicals and passed them all, but did he fight with a fake eye in?

“Yeah, I think he did,” White told in a video interview. “He cleared medicals and he had that surgery and had that problem with his eye. And you would never know it. The guy, aside from popping his eyeball out of his head, you would never know that Michael Bisping has an issue. But, before he got the surgery, his eye used to point inward. Got it fixed and, yeah.”

“I have no clue,” White responded when asked Bisping got the fake eye.

And when asked if White thought Bisping actually fooled medical personnel in order to get cleared, the UFC president was much less speculative. “No, you aren’t duping the doctor. I mean, the doctors look into your eyes. Listen, I hope the doctor would know the difference between a real eyeball and a fake eyeball. So yeah, I don’t think he duped anybody.”

Bisping is now retired from MMA and heading into the UFC Hall of Fame.
