Dana White gives update on Khabib’s next fight
Khabib Nurmagomedov will next return to the Octagon to face Tony Ferguson, according to Dana White.
Lightweight champion Nurmagomedov extended his MMA record to 28-0 when he beat Dustin Poirier at UFC 242.
Ferguson is currently on a 12-fight unbeaten streak and is the next natural opponent for Khabib.
“We’re trying to make that fight right now, hopefully in March,” White told this week during the build-up to UFC Boston.
The pair have been scheduled to fight each other four times in the past but has been called off because of injuries and illness.

Luke Rockhold considering retirement
Many feel that Luke Rockhold’s retirement is long overdue and it looks like he may have come to that realisation.
When he beat Chris Weidman at UFC 194 to win the middleweight title he seemed to have the world at his feet.
He was beaten by Michael Bisping in his next fight, though, and has not looked the same since.
The 35-year-old has only fought three times in the last three years and that included two brutal defeats to Yoel Romero and Jan Blachowicz, the latter a light heavyweight.
Speaking to , Rockhold said: “I have no interest in fighting right now.”
Dana White rules out McGregor vs Edgar
Conor McGregor called on White to make a fight between him and Frankie Edgar happen.
The Irish fighter and Edgar claim to be willing to make the bout happen but White was not keen.
“That Frankie Edgar isn’t going to happen,” White said. “Frankie is two weight classes below him. (Edgar) is in a position; he was supposed to fight Aljamain Sterling, and Aljamain fell out and got hurt.
“Frankie’s coming to the end of his career, and he could end up getting himself into a title position again. So to take the Conor fight makes no sense.”
