UFC 244 fight card, UK start time and ticket info as Diaz and Masvidal meet for BMF belt, with Darren Till and The Rock also in New York

New York City plays host to the UFC’s 500th live event in arguably the biggest card of the year.

It’s not even a title fight headlining – unless you count the BMF belt that has been specially designed for the winner of Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal’s match - which tells you something about how highly anticipated this event is.

Britain's Darren Till is the co-main event when he appears in the middleweight division for the first time and takes on Kelvin Gastelum.

Johnny Walker, Stephen Thompson and Derrick Lewis are all in NYC, too.

When and where is UFC 244 taking place?

UFC 244 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City - for us in the UK, it's the early hours of Sunday, November 3.

How can I watch it?

It will be shown exclusively live at 12am (2am main card) on Saturday 2 November on BT Sport 1 HD and on the BT Sport app.

What is the BMF belt?

Quite simply, it stands for baddest motherf*****'. It's a one-off title specifically for the Diaz/Masvidal fight and UFC president said it cost $50,000 to make.

It snowballed from Diaz calling out Masvidal after beating Anthony Pettis at UFC 241 in August. Diaz just wanted to fight someone he thought would be up for a scrap, but it soon became a thing and now fans around the world are licking their lips at the prospect of the two sharing the octagon in one of the most iconic venues in the world.

The Rock - yes, the Hollywood star - will be the one to strap it around the winner at the end of the night.
