Rock and roll
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has confirmed he will be in attendance for UFC 244.
The wrestling legend turned actor will present the one-time ‘Bad motherf*****’ title to either Jorge Masvidal or Nate Diaz in their headline welterweight bout at Madison Square Garden.
In September, Masvidal tweeted he will ask UFC president Dana White to have The Rock put the title on him if he wins.
'The Great One' responded and has since said the BMF belt will be a great addition despite the criticism.
“This addition to the company and the brand and to the sport, this BMF belt, I think it’s brilliant,” Johnson said during an Instagram live chat with White.
“It’s so smart and it’s just fun, man. That place is gonna be rocking, it’s gonna be electrifying. I can’t wait to get in there, man.”
Who will it be?
Israel Adesanya will have to wait and see who he could face next after news emerged that Paulo Costa will be sidelined with a bicep injury.
Adesanya beat Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 to win the middleweight crown in Australia and is considered one of the best fighters in the world.
has confirmed Costa, who was cageside in Melbourne, will be out until the spring.
He has since called out Jon Jones, but Dana White believes that fight is a little out of reach for now.
"Costa had surgery on his bicep so he’s out for eight months, but we are working on something else with Israel right now,” .
“He just won the title, to do a Jones super fight right now doesn’t make sense, there are guys in his own weight division that he can fight.”
We deserve it too
Darren Till feels he is deserving of the BMF belt just as much as Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.
The two face-off in a huge welterweight clash at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden and a one-off belt will be given to the winner.
Till will be the co-main event when he makes his middleweight debut against Kelvin Gastelum.
"I don’t like it too much," Till told to , when asked what he thought of the belt.
"It doesn’t mean anything really. I’m a bad motherf*****.
"I’m jumping up weight, I should be getting that belt. The UFC belt is the belt you want. No disrespect to Masvidal or Nate and you do have to consider the fact they are bad motherf******, but so am I and so is Gastelum."
