Joe Rogan admits the cancellation of UFC 249 ‘saves me a lot of f****** thinking’.

The highly-anticipated event, originally scheduled for April 18 in New York, was officially called off due to the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday night.

UFC president Dana White was adamant the event go on before broadcast partner ESPN and its parent company Disney forced him to pull the plug.

UFC commentator Rogan revealed he was worried about contracting coronavirus at UFC 249.

He told the Joe Rogan Experience podcast: “Wow, that’s interesting.

“Well, that saves me a lot of f****** thinking.

"I was 75 per cent ready to go. The only thing that worried me is that if I contracted something and then I came into contact with other people.

“What I was going to do, if I could definitely get tested, then I’d have to definitively know the results before I came back. Even then you don’t know.”
