The fairytale story of Michael Bisping's UFC world title victory against Luke Rockhold was an incredible night in British MMA history.

On just two weeks notice and after working with Vin Diesel on a Hollywood movie, 'The Count' knocked out the reigning middleweight king in the first round to get the belt he had always craved.

Bisping remains one of the great characters in the UFC and has continued to use his razor sharp wit in the commentary box with a microphone in hand.

But there were times when he reduced Rockhold to rubble with his lashing tongue.

And this is perhaps best exemplified when, just moments before the fight began at The Forum in Inglewood, referee Big John McCarthy pulled both combatants together for one last time.

Rockhold refused to touch Bisping's glove after all of the tirades and insults, so Bisping delivered one final withering insult which proved to be a premonition of what was to unfold.

He said: "No touch? I'll touch you in a minute mother f*****."

Few gave Bisping a chance to win what would have been his first title from a decade-long career in the UFC, but he shocked the world as a late replacement for Chris Weidman and knocked Rockhold out cold with his left hook.

'Left Hook Larry' duly sprinted across the cage and screamed down at his fallen opponent, 'F*** you' before asking him if he knew where he was.

It did not sit well with Rockhold, who took aim at the Englishman in his post-fight press conference.

"After our first fight I picked him up off the canvas and gave him his due respect," he said.

"Bisping went out of his way to come across the cage not to shake my hand like a man but to further mock the situation. I felt it was a classless move on his part."
