Conor McGregor can’t seem to stay out of trouble and UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping is tired of it.

The Irishman’s latest controversy is an alleged attack on an Italian DJ.

The alleged victim, Francesco Facchinetti, and his wife shared the story on social media, claiming McGregor is 'unstable' and 'violent' for punching him out of nowhere.

The past few years have seen McGregor make a series of headlines for the wrong reasons from arrests to an altercation with rapper Machine Gun Kelly to punching a pensioner in a pub.

Bisping believes McGregor’s actions are tarnishing his legacy.

“At some point Conor’s got to get his s*** together. Because this is going to end badly one day," he said.

"You need people around you that are going tell you ‘no.’ You need people that are gonna hold you accountable,"

“It seems like a long time ago, he was a double champ of the world. I was a fan of that guy. I’m not a fan of this guy. I don’t think anyone is a fan of this guy,” Bisping added.

“And I think that soon he’s going to run out of steam. The train is going to run out of steam. Conor can’t continue like this and one day he’s gonna pick on the wrong person.

“And by the way, the old guy at the bar, Machine Gun Kelly and Francesco Facchinetti, these aren’t tough guys,” he said. “I’m not trying to sound tough for myself but he’s not starting on me.

“The guys he’s starting fights with aren’t 6ft 5in, covered in tattoos and on steroids. Francesco Facchinetti looks like he couldn’t punch his way out of a wet paper bag. Machine Gun Kelly looks like the biggest wimp you’ve ever seen in your life and the old guy in the bar is an old guy at the bar.

“If he’s truly this much of a badass, go and pick on someone - not your own size because picking on someone your own size isn’t hard, is it? Pick on someone that can fight. You’re a professional fighter. You are supposed to be looking for challenges but what he has essentially turned into right now is a bully you know and no one likes a bully.”

Bisping thinks McGregor needs real help to turn the tide. The Notorious is the first-ever double champion in UFC history and still their biggest box office star by a country mile.

However, with a pair of losses this year, a broken leg and continued problems outside of the octagon, Bisping thinks this version of McGregor is losing fans.

“The guy needs help,” Bisping said. “He needs people around him to pull him to one side and have a word. I would say go speak to a professional. I think maybe some anger management... maybe a psychiatrist, because it isn’t going to end well.

“What happens if he punches Francisco Facchinetti and he goes down and cracks his head and dies? Then Conor’s locked up or someone gets seriously hurt... or Francisco Facchinetti is tied to the Italian mob. He gets a bullet in his head. There’s a lot of different ways this could go.

“What I’m saying is no one wants to see this. The version of Conor McGregor that people like is the one that’s in the Octagon beating people up, not this guy.”

UFC president Dana White has also seen the latest McGregor headlines, but he says he doesn't know enough about the situation, nor has he spoken to McGregor personally, to shed any light on the matter.

White said: “We talked about it a little bit today in matchmaking – I don’t know enough about it.

“I honestly don’t even know enough about it to comment on it. Obviously I’ve seen what you guys have – you guys have seen more than me, actually, to be honest with you.

“I haven’t talked to Conor, so I don’t know what the truth is. I don’t know exactly what happened. So to comment on it, I really can’t.”

McGregor remains White's prized asset when it comes to money making and there's every chance the former featherweight and lightweight king will make his return to UFC next year and face Dustin Poirier once more.
