Hamilton wins in China to stop Vettel in his tracks

Lewis Hamilton proved that pit-stops could be vital during this Formula 1 season, as he won the Chinese Grand Prix after doing one more tyre change than championship leader Sebastian Vettel.

After a great start had put Hamilton in the lead he quickly fell back to fifth place following the first round of stops, but sticking to his three stop plan, the former Champion passed Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Nico Rosberg before usurping the Red Bull of Vettel with four laps remaining.

Hamilton’s McLaren teammate Jenson Button, however, was denied a podium finish by Mark Webber who incredibly made his way back from 18th place to claim third spot.

Elsewhere, British rookie Paul Di Resta finished 11th in his Force India, narrowly missing out on a championship point.
