Exclusive – Warwick: ‘Vettel can beat every record under the sun!’

Derek Warwick has told talkSPORT Sebastian Vettel is capable of catching and beating Michael Schumacher’s seven Formula One titles.

Schumacher also holds a host of other records including most championships, race victories, fastest laps, pole positions, points scored and most races won in a single season

But after watching the 23-year-old German move 77 points clear in the drivers’ championship after six wins in just eight races former F1 driver Warwick claimed Vettel can be even better.

“If the team stays competitive then we are seeing the next Schumacher,” he said.

“You can’t put them in the same class because Schumacher because [Vettel] has a lot of catching up to do.

“But the guy is capable of doing it. If he is in the right car I think he can beat every record under the sun.”
