Exclusive – Stewart: Red Bull’s dominance won’t last much longer

Sir Jackie Stewart has assured Lewis Hamilton Red Bull’s dominance won’t last for much longer.
The McLaren driver has cut a frustrated figure at times this season and there have been whispers the Briton could quit to join world championship leader Sebastian Vettel at the Austrian team.
But Stewart says Hamilton must accept he can’t have the quickest car every year, and reckons he will be better off staying put as Red Bull will soon be shot down by their rivals.
"Red Bull are the hot team at the moment but you can be sure that won't last overly long,” said Stewart, speaking to the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“It could be Ferrari that interrupts that progress, it could be one of the other teams. McLaren clearly are the ones most ready and most needing to do it because there’s so much disruption there with Lewis not knowing where he wants go to, because he feels he’s got to have a better car.
“The key is that you can’t get the best car every single year and when you don’t have that best car you’ve got to make the team work for you in order to get the positions, if not the wins, to keep your world championship open.”
