‘F*** my hand!’ – Footage shows crash that left Daniel Ricciardo with broken wrist and out of Dutch Grand Prix

Daniel Ricciardo will miss the Dutch Grand Prix after a practice crash left him with a broken wrist.
He will be replaced by Red Bull junior driver Liam Lawson for the remainder of the weekend at Zandvoort.
Alpha Tauri driver Ricciardo hit the wall at turn three in second practice, avoiding his fellow Australian Oscar Piastri who had done the same moments before.
On-board footage of the incident showed a nasty snap of the steering wheel in Ricciardo’s no.3 car, and he was seen clutching his left hand in pain after removing his glove.
Team radio then picked up Ricciardo saying: “F***! My hand†as footage showed him pointing to it as he struggled to get out of his car.
Formula 1’s governing body, the FIA, confirmed that the 34-year-old had been taken to the medical centre for check ups, and images later appeared to show him wearing a sling.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko then commented: “We are very happy with Ricciardo's performance. I hope he didn't hurt his hand.
“He is at the hospital for an X-Ray. So we have Ricciardo. We have [Liam] Lawson. You always have to have a plan B as well.â€
Some were hoping that fan favourite Ricciardo could recover quickly, including marshals who rushed to his aid.
The Dutch staff left a bag of local stroopwaffels in his pit garage, along with a note which read: “Hi Daniel, hope your wrist is OK!
